Day 10: And then there were none!
In the blink of an eye, they’re all gone! What a wonderful time we’ve all had this week. This morning saw tears of sadness at leaving new friends, and tears of joy at being reunited with family members. We’ve all had a great time, and…
Day 9: Pool and Party!
Our last full day of camp – where has the time gone? We spent the day at the pool. Although the water was cold, it was much warmer than the river yesterday! As always, the children had a great time splashing around with their friends….
Day 8: Looking to the future
The campers’ last English class saw them working together to prepare a time capsule for next year’s camp. The Rabbits and Ducklings worked together to write notes (after the Rabbits finished their planets from yesterday) and make small objects, while the Chipmunks made the capsule…
Day 7: Paella Day!
The day started with the penultimate English classes. The Rabbits were studying space and painted planets after reviewing previously seen vocabulary. They also wrote letters to their campmates. The Ducklings designed rockets, deciding who and what they would take with them, and their space missions….
Day 6: Too cold to swim!

Day 5: Adventure Park!
There are a lot of photos here – we’ve had so much fun and excitement today that it’s impossible to choose the best ones! Everyone was up bright and early for the trip to the adventure park. We started the day with a nature trail,…
Day 4: School on a Saturday!
It may be the weekend in the real world, but at camp it’s Day 4, which means English classes first – not something very usual for a Saturday! The Chipmunks had a lot of fun creating their own crazy monster animals. The Ducklings and Horses…
Day 3: Exploring, Riding and Programming
Day 3 started with English classes. The Rabbits continued their work on water, producing posters about the water cycle, ways to save water, and interesting water facts. The Ducklings finished creating sea animals, then started learning about sports. They then created their own sports (including…
Day 2: Swimming pool!
Our first full day at camp saw the children start their English classes. The oldest students, the Rabbits, are with Carmen. After some fun getting-to-know-you games, they talked about ways to save water, and presented their ideas to the class. The Ducklings (my group, 8-10-year-olds)…

Welcome to our 33 new campers! What a lovely group they make! Everyone is happy, and the children are all very polite, speaking a lot of English, and making a lot of new friends already. After lunch (pasta with sausages followed by omelette, gobbled down…
