Day sixteen…MOOOnday
8:30am and the loud speaker is already bumping! What better way to start the final week here in Gredos than with our summer favorite, Cha Cha Slide!! The oldies and newbies were off to a perfect start this week coming together with this great song. After the campers first night of sleep at Fuente Alberche, we made our way out to the field for the first morning working, indulging in the beautiful views of the sun rising over the mountains, and the peaceful sounds of the nature all around.
Everyone was excited to start day one of English Class, breaking up into their groups of Ducks and Horses, both starting new topics… the youngsters tackled the animals around the world while the Horses studied the world around them! The energy is so high and we just hope that it continues throughout the week, that along with so much learning!!
After our delicious lunch came the animals!!! We all got geared up to go meet our farm friends!! Finally we met and held some wonderful farm animals, even some of us who were a bit shy! We met the horse and donkey, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits and so many more! Check out our beautiful portraits below!
The afternoon was filled with lots of games and running around, we even squeezed in a nice water fight and took a dip in the pool to cool off! For dinner we indulged in some delicious purée and meat before heading back out in the field for some frightening night games before tucking ourselves into bed and preparing for the next day filled with fun and laughter! We’re thankful for the wonderful weather we are having here at Fuente Alberche and can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store for us!
