Day 7: English classes and water fights galore!
Today, our English classes focused more on interactive fun and games than on grammar and new vocabulary, while still keeping with our nature, farm, and animals theme. Our Goats made their own solar panels to cook s’mores, and I have to admit I ended up having two myself—they were delicious! The Chipmunks practiced for their farm-themed puppet show, which they will be performing tomorrow in front of the rest of the campers. Meanwhile, the Ponies created their own miniature farms using playdough and a variety of different materials. They turned out incredibly well and were so creative!

For the afternoon activities, our horse riders went on their third and final trek. They have absolutely loved spending time with their horses this week, and I’m sure they’ll miss them greatly. The arts and crafts group designed their own tote bags, and they turned out incredible. Lucas stuck with the World Cup theme, Olga created a McDonald’s bag, Mateo chose a birthday cake—his favourite food—and the twins produced some truly beautiful pieces of artwork. Meanwhile, our explorers battled it out in a series of water fight games, where the losers paid the price by getting completely soaked. They all came back absolutely drenched, freezing cold, and looking like they’d just jumped into a swimming pool fully clothed—but a little cold water never hurt anyone… or at least that’s what we kept telling them!

We are now ending the night with a dance party. Sleep is for later! Goodnight!
