Today saw our last full day of camp – and it’s certainly been one to remember!

Our campers woke up to find that all of their shoes had disappeared from their rooms, and were all tangled together on the patio floor. Must have been those naughty camp elves…

In the morning, everyone played a game in mixed teams which involved searching the house and grounds for clues, following those to complete challenges to earn money, spending the money to buy objects, and using the objects to pass through some very unusual scenarios!

One of the most fun challenges involved trying to move a biscuit from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands. The photos may not be the most flattering, but they should make you laugh as much as the activity made the children laugh!

Other challenges involved paper aeroplane races against Giulia…

Trainer kicking…

Card stacking…

and plenty of team-building activities!

Lunch today was probably everyone’s favourite – paella cooked on the fire! The smell was tempting us for a long time before we got round to eating it, and it tasted even better than it looked! The children would agree, as plenty of them had second helpings (Sofía even managed another plateful AFTER eating two chocolate cakes for dessert!).

After lunch, the children did something which we’ve NEVER done at camp before – they organised a wedding! They did a wonderful job, from decorating the venue and sending out invitations to ensuring the bride arrived on time with her hair and make-up done!

Then, before dinner (we’ve really managed a lot today!) the children were able to buy gifts from the market with the coins they’ve earnt during the camp.

Dinner was a barbecue, and that was followed by certificates for all of our campers. Their awards ranged from Most Improved (Aitana) and Mr Positive (Jaime) to Lucky Charm (Virginia) and Best Hugger (Alex).

Then it was party time! The children danced and sang, and are now all (or almost all!) sleeping, ready to go home tomorrow.
