Today was our first full day at camp. It was especially important as we celebrated the birthday of one of our campers- Happy Birthday Nacho!

After breakfast, our explorers headed to their first English class of camp. The Chipmunks Group learnt about farm animals and made their own animal puppets. They had lots of fun playing with them and making the sounds of their chosen animals! The Rabbits Group took on a fun engineering challenge by building paper towers that had to support a phone for 5 seconds. Meanwhile, the Ponies Group got creative by making their own solar panels!

We headed to the local natural pool for lunch, where we spent the rest of the day enjoying the sunshine and making the most of the water. Our brave campers took on the cold temperatures with their first dip, and although it was a bit cold when we arrived, the sun soon came out and made swimming much more enjoyable! We spent the afternoon playing sports and card games, having swimming races, and even showing off our best moves in a fun dance-off.

Some of our explorers took advantage of the nearby river and went on a crab hunt. They managed to find a few, and one even gave an explorer a little pinch! Luckily, no harm was done, and everyone had a great time exploring and discovering the wildlife.

The team has just finished their evening activity, a game of hide and seek, which proved to be much more difficult in the dark! Everyone had lots of fun searching for the best hiding spots. We are now heading off to bed for a good night’s sleep before another busy day of English classes and exciting activities tomorrow. Until then!!
