After all of the excitement yesterday, of COURSE nobody went to sleep early last night! So there were some big yawns at breakfast, but after some porridge, everyone was ready for their first English class.

The Goats class asked their classmates questions to get to know them better.

After class (a shorter one today), it was time for a quick snack, then off to the swimming pool!

The best way to get used to the cold water is to jump straight in!!

The pool wasn’t as cold as it has been in previous years, so we all spent a lot of time in the water! This was the perfect opportunity for children to make friends with other campers who are in a different class or bedroom – and also to spend more time with the teachers and monitors!

As well as fun in the pool, the children also enjoyed playing card games, talking to their friends – and of course some water fights!

Some of the girls also caught a butterfly (Evelina was very good at helping the older girls!) as well as some ladybirds.

When we came back to camp, it was time for a shower, and then dinner – everyone was very hungry, and ate a lot! We had soup (Carlos, Juan, Isidoro, Juan Antonio and Samuel finished off about four helpings each!) followed by fish – and as a special treat, some cake to celebrate Emma’s 7th birthday!

A night game before bed – and I think everyone will be asleep much earlier tonight, they’ve all used a LOT of energy today!
