Cock-a-doodle-doo!

Everyone´s first morning at the farm started with cereal before dividing up for English class. The Chipmunks, Ducklings, and Rabbits spent the morning getting to know their classmates and all about the animals on the farm.

The Duckling´s class showing off their origami animals.

The Ducklings divided up class getting to know each other through several activities and introducing one another. Most impressive was the teamwork and leadership skills demonstrated by the group.

Who said English couldn´t be fun? As well as learning new vocabulary, students used their new knowledge to play, create, and compete through interactive activities like duck, duck, goose, wheelbarrow races, and origami.

After lunch the campers had their first day of their choice activity: horse riding, explorers, and robotics! The explorers prepared for a scavenger hunt through the galaxy. Looking for clues all around the building, each team had to find planets. While some planets were in plain sight, Earth seemed to be a little far out – perhaps monitor Laura did too well hiding the clue in the flower pot!

The robotics activity with Giulia was a huge hit! Both Javi and Jorge were successful in building their robots.

The weather decided to cooperate so we were able to take the night game outside. The attacking team headed out with the monitors to scope out the items they needed to sneak into the house. Meanwhile, the defending team spread out around the house ready to inspect each camper.

Although tomorrow looks like another day of clouds with a chance of rain, it will surely be a fun-filled day! Maybe we´ll even see what the Chipmunks and Rabbits are up to.
