Day 4: A New Arrival and Special Occasion!
Good morning sunshine!
Aside from the usual music being blasted, campers were woken up with pool noodles and spray bottles! The giggles and gleeful screams could be heard all throughout the building.
After breakfast, our last camper, Manuela arrived just in time for English classes, each one starting another creative project.
Our youngest learners, the Chipmunks, learned about the solar system and designed their own rockets. Meanwhile the Ducklings learned about the water cycle by watching and then explaining the processes of evaporation, condensation, and precipitation. Lastly, our oldest campers, the Rabbits, had discussed the importance of recyling by reflecting on their current practices and how they would like to do better in the future. It seems as though a creative reuse of plastic bottles is underway.
At lunch we celebrated a very special occasion: Emma´s birthday! Her classmates decided to surprise her with handmade cards which they gave to her as everyone sang Happy Birthday.
After lunch the horse riders went on another ride through the Gredos countryside! Back at camp, the explorers made key chains while the robotics class got an introduction to programming. Afterwards, an intense game of archery tag started between the blue and red teams in the field.
Judging by the silence everyone must be worn out after the night game! That or they´re excited for tomorrow´s trip to the Adventure Park.
