Entradas de Campamento Ávila

18 JulDay Twenty Three... Water, water everywhere!

After waking up to our musical alarm this morning, out on the field we did a bit of vigorous exercise thanks to Hector who put us through our paces once again. There were cartwheels, handstands, lizards, knees to elbows, arms in the air – you name it, we did it! Everyone was more than ready for breakfast afterwards. Some of the campers woke up with mysterious tattoos this morning....hmmmmm.....they have an idea who the culprit may be, but who knows!

18 JulDay Twenty Two... Goodbyes, hellos, and games galore

We were up and packing away this morning as sadly it was time for Iván, Alfonso, Claudia, Alejandro, Juan, Miguel, Pablo, Raúl and Javier to head home for the holidays – have a great summer guys! It was great having you here on camp with us! After mobile numbers had been exchanged, numerous hugs had been given and we had waved goodbye from the stairs, before we knew it there were cars pulling up outside camp and a new group of campers had joined us for our last week.

17 JulDay Twenty One… Seeing the sights

Today was the day! We set off for Ávila with lots of things to see and do. First on the agenda was a walk along the wall with our guide María José. First she told us all about the different parts of the wall and showed us the model before heading up to walk along and see the sigths from up top. The campers showed off their knowledge of history and the wall and also asked questions María José any questions they had.

15 JulDay Twenty... Down to the river, down to the river we go!

It’s been a beautiful day here at camp, so we took advantage of the lovely weather and went outside for our morning exercise this morning. Hector took us through some stretches, and although there were a few groans here and there it definitely did us all the world of good! Feeling refreshed the campers went in for breakfast and to get ready for their last class of the week.

Today we are stopping by the Ponies class to find out what they have been learning:

14 JulDay Nineteen... Breadmaking and bullseyes

It was a bit chilly outside this morning so we decided to dance our socks off to wake up in the patio. The campers must have been practicing (maybe in their sleep?) because this morning there were all kinds of moves and shapes being shown off! Ratoncito Pérez paid us a visit last night because three (yes three!) teeth fell out, and Alfonso, Iker and Adrián woke to find a gift in their place!

After breakfast it was time for class and today we are stopping by the Horses to find out how their week has been going:
